Automated Testing Developer

Join the team as a Test Automation Developer, where you'll play a crucial role in establishing and executing test automation frameworks for seamless commerce initiatives, including Point of Sale, OmniChannel Integration, and mobile applications. This hands-on role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance technical experiences and propose pragmatic solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute flexible, scalable test frameworks using Python and pytest.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Product, and vendor teams for new functional and performance test development.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test execution.
- Challenge the status quo and continuously improve test automation tools, coverage, and quality.
- Manage and influence multiple vendors involved in omni-channel delivery.
- Support testing initiatives and conduct continuous improvement plans.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and onboard new resources.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience with 4+ years focused on automation.
- Passionate about software quality, test automation, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Python, pytest, and Playwright for UI automation.
- Demonstrated proficiency with open-source test automation frameworks like Pytest and Requests.
- Familiarity with BDD, POM, OOP, and test containerization.
- Proficient in Git and CI/CD tools (Gitlab/Github).
- Experience with web and API automation testing in a retail environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud interfaces (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Software Engineering experience.
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Knowledge of 3rd party digital e-commerce platforms such as IBM Sterling OMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Strong technical project management and documentation skills.
