About the Role

Automation Engineer III serves as a technical leader on complex automation projects. This role owns system architecture, technical execution, and customer confidence from concept through commissioning. What You’ll Do

• Lead all technical aspects of automation projects from design through commissioning
• Architect complex control systems across electrical, mechanical, and IT disciplines
• Review and approve PLC/HMI code, drawings, and documentation
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and project managers
• Coordinate workloads, priorities, and schedules for engineering and field teams
• Mentor and coach engineers through structured guidance and feedback
• Lead design reviews, proposals, and technical standards development
• Oversee complex troubleshooting and drive permanent solutions

• Strong written/verbal communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to supervise and coordinate with clients, vendors, and trades.

• 4+ years PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.).

• Ability to pass TSA SIDA and background checks.
