Automation lead with Performance

Technical/Functional Skills:

Maintain, design, and implement test automation frameworks for a continuous integration and execution model.
Define, develop, and implement automation best practices and standards and procedures.
Create and design the testing approach (Unit, Functional, Integration, System, User).
Create automation tests by analyzing user stories, acceptance criteria, creating initial test designs, writing scripts, installing the automation testing protocols, and reporting results.
Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts.
Conduct tests, document, and analyze test results, and present findings to development teams.
Preparing reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out.
Automation Performance Testing Lead: responsible for testing the scalability, performance, and availability of e-commerce platform.
Load and Stress Testing: Design and execute load and stress testing scenarios using K6 and JMeter to validate the platform's ability to handle increased loads.
Performance Tuning: Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement performance tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness.
Microservices Architecture: Evaluate and fine-tune the performance of microservices architecture to handle increased traffic loads.
Scalability Assessment: Assess the scalability of the platform, recommending infrastructure upgrades or optimizations as needed to accommodate growth.
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and manage robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Splunk, New relic to ensure real-time visibility into platform performance.
Observability Validation: Validate observability practices to provide actionable insights into system behavior, helping to identify and address performance issues proactively.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure, monitor, and report on platform performance.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of performance test plans, results, monitoring configurations, and recommendations, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and arch teams, to ensure alignment on performance goals and requirements.
Strong analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong in providing short term and long terms techincal solution for the performance problems

Experience Required:

6 + years of experience in performance engineering, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
Understanding of automation testing and experience writing automation tests for REST APIs,
Experience with writing automation tests using one or more of the following: Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Selenium, Appium, ect.
Cross channel performance experience is a plus, Site, Mobile, POS, Kiosk
End2End Customer journey performance scenario experience is required
Experience with performance testing tools such as K6 and JMeter.c
