Job Description - Automobile Sales Floor Manager

The right candidate will be  the face of our dealership—building relationships, guiding customers through the car buying experience, and delivering exceptional service rooted in integrity and hospitality. This role blends automotive expertise with people-first engagement to drive both sales and long-term loyalty. This position is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.

What will you be responsible for?

Sales & Customer Experience
  • Offers, explains, and promotes extended service contracts, GAP coverage, and additional dealership products to all retail customers.
  • Works closely with salespeople to increase car sales and assists in closing deals when necessary.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring prospecting programs, advertising campaigns, and promotional efforts.
  • Appraises incoming used vehicles following dealership standards for trade-ins.
  • Connect with Customers: Greet all guests with genuine warmth. Ask thoughtful questions, actively listen, and guide them to the right vehicle for their needs.
  • Lead the Experience: Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives with confidence and professionalism, making the process educational, efficient, and enjoyable.
  • Close with Confidence: Present purchase and lease options clearly. Assist with paperwork, warranties, and product features to ensure a seamless delivery experience.
  • Drive Loyalty: Build lasting relationships by following up with new owners, supporting them after the sale, and encouraging referrals and repeat business.
  •  Stay Organized: Accurately manage leads, follow-ups, and appointments using the company’s CRM tools.
  • Be a Brand Expert: Stay current on vehicle features, inventory, promotions, and manufacturer certifications.
  • Contribute to Team Success: Attend sales meetings, trainings, and maintain performance targets as outlined in your compensation plan.
Sales Operations & Compliance
  • Prepares loan paperwork, assembles documents, and ensures smooth transaction closings for customers.
  • Draws up closing documents detailing financial transactions, conditions, and restrictions of vehicle sales.
  • Understands, stays current on, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
  • Communicates dealership policies and procedures to enhance employee engagement and sales performance.
  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support dealership operations.

Do you have the necessary education and experience?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or bachelor’s in business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years previous automotive sales experience required.
  • 5+ years supervisor experience preferred.
  • 3 years previous new car inventory management.
