Automotive "A" Technicians

Job Summary: The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. They will have great communication skills.

About Us: We at Larry Green Chevrolet and Hyundai of Cottonwood are in great  need of  class "A"  technicians. We are willing to pay top dollar for the right person. These technicians MUST have knowledge of how to DIAGNOSIS,  vehicles, transmission and diesel experience and looking for a career that can be rewarding both financially and personally. We will provide updated training and information from GM  as it arrives. We have lots of work and you will be busy all the time. We hope that this person will treat every vehicle as if it was there own and have complete satisfaction in repairing vehicles correctly. Pride and a strong work ethic  make a big difference.   We are in area that is known as the wine valley of Arizona. We have all types of activities to include hiking, horseback riding, ATV trails, skiing, boating and a great climate where all of these activities can be done almost all year round.

Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership


• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment


• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems


• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed


• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs


• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety rules and regulations

Service Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• At least 3 years of experience as an auto technician


• GM or Hyundai certification a BIG plus


• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance


• Fast, eager learner and team player


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong customer service skills


• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems


• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment


• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
