Job Description - Automotive Accounting Clerk



As a family owned and operated business, Bill Cramer has been proudly serving the Panama City area for 60 years.  We are currently looking for an Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our growing team!

Responsibilities Automotive Accounting Clerk :



  • reconcile statements, maintain schedules, adjust via journal entries to the general ledger, and month end accounting requirements.

  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts, initiate collection activities on aging accounts when necessary.

  • Post invoices/payments, reconcile and post daily deposits. Take deposits to the bank as needed.

  • Collaborate with Parts, Sales, Service Departments to investigate and resolve AR issues.

  • Prepare AR reporting, print and mail customer AR statements.

  • Scan and archive documents and invoices.

  • Train front-line staff in cash/payment handling and when necessary.

  • Prioritize work to meet deadlines and ensure critical tasks are completed.

  • Operate multiple computer applications, phone system, and other office equipment.

  • Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.


 


 Requirements:



  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

  • Authorized to work in the USA for any employer.

  • Basic communication and problem-solving skills; basic mathematical skills using American units of measure.

  • Experience using Dealertrack and automotive accounting practices is preferred.

  • Experience working with double-entry general ledger accounting (credits/debits) is preferred.

  • Physical activities include remaining stationary for long periods of time, operating office equipment, and repetitive motion
