Alignment Technicians work in a fast-paced and specialized environment and responsible for servicing our guests’ vehicles providing and ensuring quality workmanship. They perform Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service Oil Change along with vehicle wheel alignments, suspension, brakes, and other general services & repairs. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

However, if you’re concerned that we only perform fluid and preventative maintenance, [well], we expanded our core business to include every major and minor repair service from tires to brakes to engine performance, suspension and electrical to name a few. And we’re not only a one stop shop, but our technicians and master mechanics can compete with the many new car dealers, tire center and repair facilities.

Qualifications

Previous experience is essential and requires a minimum of 1+ years working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center or quick lube.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to…

• Perform Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change and flush & fill fluids
• Inspect and replace filters, lights, wipers and other preventative maintenance
• Perform alignments using Hunter WA-470 computer auto align system
• Service tires, brakes, suspensions, shocks/struts, axles, and electrical diagnostics

Once you’ve become certified, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities and training in other positions [Service Advisor and Supervisor-Key Holder].

Physical Qualifications

Plus Technicians must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

Other physical qualifications…

• Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment
• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
