Automotive Detail Manager

Tim Dahle Infiniti is seeking an experienced and motivated Detail Manager to oversee our vehicle detailing department. The Detail Manager will lead a team of detailers, ensuring all vehicles are meticulously cleaned, polished, and prepared to meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on expertise in waxing, buffing, shampooing, and interior cleaning, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills to manage operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
•  Team Leadership & Management:
    •  Supervise, train, and motivate a team of detailers to deliver exceptional vehicle detailing services.
    •  Schedule staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
    •  Conduct regular team meetings and provide feedback to improve techniques and processes.
•  Vehicle Detailing:
    •  Perform and oversee high-quality detailing services, including waxing, buffing, paint correction, and polishing to enhance vehicle appearance.
    •  Execute thorough interior cleaning, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets and upholstery, leather conditioning, and cleaning of dashboards, consoles, and other surfaces.
    •  Ensure proper use of cleaning products, tools, and equipment to achieve a showroom-quality finish.
•  Quality Control:
    •  Inspect completed vehicles to ensure all detailing work meets Tim Dahle Infiniti’s standards and customer expectations.
    •  Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
•  Inventory & Equipment Management:
    •  Maintain inventory of detailing supplies, including waxes, polishes, shampoos, and cleaning agents, ensuring adequate stock levels.
    •  Oversee maintenance and proper use of detailing equipment, such as buffers, pressure washers, and extractors.
•  Customer Service:
    •  Collaborate with the sales and service departments to ensure vehicles are detailed and ready for delivery or customer pickup.
    •  Communicate with customers as needed to explain detailing services, provide estimates, or address specific requests.
•  Operational Efficiency:
    •  Streamline detailing processes to maximize productivity while maintaining quality.
    •  Monitor and manage department budget, including labor costs and supply expenses.
    •  Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

    Experience:      

• •  Minimum of 3-5 years of professional auto detailing experience, with expertise in waxing, buffing, shampooing, and interior cleaning.    
•   •  At least 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in a detailing or related field preferred. 

  Skills & Abilities:     

  Certifications:   

 •  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.    

  •  Certification in auto detailing (e.g., IDA certification) is a plus but not required.  

Physical Requirements:    

  •  Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.   

   •  Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working with cleaning chemicals safely.
