Colwell Motors of Mason City is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Specialist to join our growing team. Our Detail Specialists play a vital role in customer satisfaction by returning vehicles in better condition than when they arrived—clean, polished, and ready to impress.

As a Detail Specialist, you’ll use professional-grade products and equipment to ensure vehicles look their absolute best inside and out. This role is perfect for someone with a strong sense of pride in their work, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for cars.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, polishing, and detailing of vehicles 
• Shampoo, vacuum, and deep clean upholstery, carpets, and interior surfaces 
• Apply appropriate cleaning agents, waxes, and polishes to restore exterior finishes 
• Remove debris, stains, and blemishes using specialized tools and techniques 
• Inspect vehicles for imperfections, damages, or areas requiring special care 
• Maintain an organized workflow to ensure timely project completion 
• Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality results 
• Stay up to date on the latest detailing products, techniques, and industry standards
   

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive detailer or similar role preferred 
• Knowledge of detailing products, equipment, and techniques 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot imperfections 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Good time management and organizational skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
