Automotive Detailer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Detailer. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailing and cleaning cars, trucks, and SUVs at Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington, Missouri. The Automotive Detailer will clean and maintain the vehicle’s exterior, interior, engine compartment, and trunk, while applying polishes and other protective materials. In addition, the Automotive Detailer will use a wide variety of cleaning products and power tools to ensure the vehicle is clean and free of dirt and debris.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions to ensure vehicles are properly detailed per company guidelines
• Clean all interior and exterior surfaces and areas of vehicles
• Use water hoses, vacuums, and power tools to clean vehicles
• Clean under and around the vehicle using power brushes
•Remove dirt and debris from the vehicle’s engine compartment
• Apply polishes and other protective materials to enhance the vehicle’s appearance
• Clean blemishes and marks on the vehicle’s exterior and interior
• Inspect vehicles for scratches, dirt, and other damage
• Fill out and submit completed vehicle detail jobs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of detailing processes and materials
• Knowledge of power tools and equipment
• Ability to operate shop machinery
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional and friendly demeanor
