Automotive Detailer

Summary

Responsible for cleaning, reconditioning, and maintaining the appearance of vehicles both at the dealership and at our off-site detail facility. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both individually and as a team, in a fast-paced environment while delivering a high-quality finished product.

Essential Duties 

• Perform interior and exterior detailing on new, used, and customer vehicles


• Wash, dry, wax, buff vehicle exteriors


• Vacuum, shampoo, and clean upholstery, carpets and wipe down all interior surfaces


• Clean and polish windows, mirrors, wheels, and trim


• Remove stains, odors and minor cosmetic imperfections as necessary


• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.


• Use proper eye, hand and body protection when using cleaning products that require protection.


• Prepare vehicles for showroom display and customer delivery


• Maintain lot presentation and vehicle cleanliness


• Assist with quick turnarounds on sold units and customer vehicles


• Ensure proper stickers are displayed on the vehicle.


• Maintain shop cleanliness, tools and equipment


• Safely transport dealership and customer vehicles between dealership and detail shop


• Fill vehicles up with gas, as needed


• Communicate effectively with all team members and management to prioritize workflow


• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.


• Help with winter lot cleanup/snow removal, as needed


• Maintains professional appearance


• Maintains positive attitude


• Other tasks as assigned.
