Position Overview

The Dealership Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service shop by managing technician productivity, maintaining repair quality, supporting Service Advisors, and ensuring efficient workflow from dispatch through vehicle delivery.

This leadership role requires extensive Ford dealership experience and the ability to train and mentor technicians working on both gasoline and diesel vehicles while maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction and shop performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shop production and technician workflow
  
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and quality of repairs
  
• Train, mentor, and develop technicians at all skill levels
  
• Provide technical guidance on gasoline and diesel vehicle diagnostics and repairs
  
• Ensure repair procedures meet Ford manufacturer standards
  
• Work closely with Service Advisors and Parts personnel to improve repair turnaround times
  
• Monitor shop capacity and production goals to maximize profitability
  
• Assist with difficult diagnostic and repair situations when needed
  
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
  
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the service department
  
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives by ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Ford dealership experience REQUIRED
  
• Strong knowledge of Ford gasoline and diesel vehicle systems
  
• Proven leadership experience within a dealership service department
  
• Experience training, coaching, and mentoring technicians
  
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and technical knowledge
  
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  
• Ability to lead a high-volume service operation while maintaining quality standards
  
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
