Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, remedy customer complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met
- Implement growth strategies that align with automotive group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completion before sharing them with upper dealership management
- Learn and uphold all local, state, and federal regulations impacting vehicle sales, and the automotive industry as a whole
- Manages and performs estimating, blueprinting, and quality control of vehicles.
- Ensure that road tests and Quality Control forms have been completed on all vehicles being delivered.
- Monitors all estimates to ensure proper GP is being obtained and all necessary operations are included in the estimate.
- Schedules vehicle repairs to ensure balanced workload in the shop.
- Conducts team meetings as required and ensure production reports are updated daily and distributed to employees.
- Manages aged receivables and billing.
- Ensure parts procurement and returns are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manages employee attendance, workloads, and monitors their performance.
- Manages supplies.
- Assists in developing or refining standard operating procedures as required.
- Follows and complies with all required health and safety requirements.
- Complies with scheduled work hours and attendance policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
- Three or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a body shop or auto group is necessary
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and trends
- Possess a state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record to operate dealership-owned vehicles
- Strong communication skills; a track record of leadership; and the ability to interpret profit and loss statements are necessary for success
- CCC1 estimating experience preferred, however, not comparable experience in Audatex or Mitchell is required.
- Customer Service skills and able to close a sale.
