Automotive Inventory & Vehicle Logistics Manager

Long-Lewis Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Inventory & Vehicle Logistics Manager to lead the processes that keep vehicles moving efficiently across our dealership group.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing vehicle transfers, inventory movement, driver operations, showroom support, and transfer workflows across multiple locations. You will lead the Dealer Transfer Team, establish expectations, monitor performance, solve operational issues, and continuously improve how we move and manage inventory.

The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader who enjoys solving problems, working across multiple departments, and taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

Lead and support the Dealer Transfer Team, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

Coordinate vehicle availability checks, holds, sold-unit transfers, trip quotes, transfer documentation, MSOs, dealer transfer checks, and related processes.

Coordinate vehicle deliveries, driver scheduling, pay approvals, timekeeping, and training.

Monitor refloor activity and maintain accurate vehicle records in DealerOps and other tracking systems.

Manage Zoho forms and tickets related to vehicle movement, picture requests, and showroom support.

Maintain inventory communications and vehicle locator lists across dealership locations.

Monitor aged and excess inventory and work with dealership leadership to improve vehicle movement.

Review transfer activity, response times, and departmental performance.

Organize team workflows, meetings, agendas, and follow-up items.

Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that make the operation faster, more accurate, and more efficient.

Partner with dealership leaders and employees across multiple locations to resolve issues and improve communication.

Vehicles move between locations quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

The transfer team understands expectations and consistently follows through.

Dealership leaders have clear visibility into vehicle locations and transfer status.

Driver schedules, paperwork, and tracking are organized and accurate.

Problems are identified and resolved before they become larger issues.

Processes continually improve rather than becoming more complicated.

You become the person the organization can rely on when something needs to get moved, solved, tracked, or done.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone with strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in any of the following is valuable:

Automotive dealership or group operations

Inventory management

Vehicle logistics or transportation

Fleet operations

Dispatch or driver coordination

Multi-location operations

Administrative or operational team leadership

Process improvement
