Automotive Main Shop Technician

CAPITAL is currently seeking a skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a variety of vehicles while delivering the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction. We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to exceptional automotive service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards

  
  


• 
  

  Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools/specialty equipment to evaluate components and systems

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding recommended additional services

  
  


• 
  

  Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs

  
  


• 
  

  Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with other duties as assigned

  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 
  

  Previous experience as an auto technician preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance

  
  


• 
  

  Fast learner with a collaborative, team-focused approach

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Strong customer service mindset

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment and computer systems

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to pass all pre-employment background screenings
