Automotive Mechanic

Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide service provider specializing in retail skilled trade services. As an Automotive Mechanic you are responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and inspections on stake beds, trucks, vans and various construction equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of recent mechanic experience with a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practice safety guidelines. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine automotive maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
• Inspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and job requirements
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols
• Perform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelines
• Assist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operations

Requirements

• At least two years of recent experience as an auto mechanic
• Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift
• Valid driver’s license, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
