With 35 years of experience, Summit Point Motorsports Park and Training Facility provides Commercial Motorsports events along with customized Security and Emergency Medical training solutions on our 786-acre facility located in Summit Point, WV. At Summit Solutions Group (SSG), we are the mission support arm of the Summit Point Training Facility. As a dedicated US Government contractor, we specialize in delivering comprehensive solutions that ensure operational excellence and mission success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Automotive Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing and repairing training vehicles, performing safety inspections, conducting fluid changes, and executing a variety of mechanical tasks to maintain the usability of the vehicles operated throughout the training facility. This individual must possess a professional demeanor as well as keen attention to detail. This position is part of a team; cooperation and collaboration are critical for success.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will commence only if the contract is awarded.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing training vehicles, ensuring operational safety and performance.
• Performing routine maintenance, including fluid changes and mechanical repairs on automobiles and light trucks.
• Conducting safety inspections to verify vehicle compliance with operational standards.
• Providing miscellaneous mechanic work, including but not limited to bodywork, disassembly, and assembly of components and engines.
• Ensuring all duties are performed according to safety procedures and industry best practices.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Work under moderate supervision, gaining or having attained full proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Previous experience as a mechanic with a high school diploma.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialized training and/or certification within the automotive maintenance field such as ASE or EPA Section 609.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience working on specialized fleet vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 100 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work with exposure to dust, dirt and hazards which will require the use of proper PPE.
• Standing, walking, and operating vehicles for extended periods.
