Automotive Mechanic-FT

The Inc. Village of Hempstead is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic.

Typical duties include repair work on gasoline or diesel-powered automobiles, trucks, sweepers, heavy equipment, and other automotive equipment. Must be experienced over-hauling or replacing transmissions, valves, clutches, brakes, generators, and ignition systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidates must have four (4) Four years of satisfactory experience in skilled repair and maintenance of automobiles, trucks, or other automotive equipment.
• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• **Valid NYS Commercial Driver's License required
