Full-Time | Automotive Repair | Mechanical Technician
Diehl Collision of Ford City is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician with a current Pennsylvania State Inspection License to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for a technician who is comfortable performing general automotive repairs, diagnosing mechanical concerns, completing Pennsylvania safety inspections, and handling mechanical repairs associated with collision-damaged vehicles.
As an Automotive Mechanic at Diehl Collision of Ford City, your responsibilities may include:
Perform Pennsylvania State Safety Inspections
Inspect vehicles and identify safety and mechanical concerns
Diagnose automotive mechanical and electrical problems
Perform brake system diagnosis and repair
Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems
Perform suspension component replacement
Diagnose vehicle warning lights and fault codes
Use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment
Perform general automotive maintenance and mechanical repairs
Inspect mechanical components affected by collision damage
Remove and replace damaged mechanical components
Perform wheel, tire, steering, and suspension-related repairs
Conduct post-repair inspections and road tests
Follow manufacturer and OEM repair procedures
Document completed repairs accurately
Communicate additional repair needs to estimators and management
Work closely with collision technicians, estimators, parts personnel, and other team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
A current Pennsylvania State Inspection License is required.
We're looking for a dependable automotive professional with strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
Preferred qualifications include:
Current PA State Inspection License
Previous experience as an Automotive Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, or Mechanical Technician
Strong knowledge of brakes, steering, suspension, and general automotive repair
Automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting experience
Ability to use scan tools and diagnostic equipment
Understanding of modern automotive electrical and electronic systems
Ability to inspect vehicles and identify mechanical and safety concerns
Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures
Strong problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
ASE, I-CAR, manufacturer-specific, or additional automotive certifications are a plus.
