Job Summary

The Automotive Parts Advisor at Shively Motors in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania will be a part of providing exceptional service to our customers and the community by advising and assisting with the selection and sale of parts and automotive products. The Parts Advisor plays an integral role in achieving our service and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by locating, selecting, and selling parts and products
• Advise customers on proper part selection, application, and installation procedures
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
• Ensure accuracy and quality of parts information and product catalogs
• Process orders, special orders, and returns professionally and in a timely manner
• Provide product and service information to customers
• Use computer based parts catalogs to identify appropriate parts
• Use sales strategies to maximize revenue
• Be aware of all sales promotions/preferences, car manufacturer warranties, pricing structural changes, delivery inquiries
• Keep work area neat and organized

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Have 4+ years’ experience as a Parts Advisor in the automotive industry
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Detailed and organized individual
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel/crouch, stand for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work evening and weekend hours, as needed
• Computer Skills
• Knowledge of process of parts ordering, receiving, and inventory management
