Parts Advisor

H.E. McGonigal Inc., Cadillac Buick GMC is looking for an experienced Parts Advisor/Inside sales for our rapidly growing parts department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet and exceed Chrysler/GM Customer Care Standards each quarter in all related areas


• Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line


• Pull purchased parts from stock


• If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested by the customer


• Assist the Parts Manager in maintaining a Lost Sale Tracking Program


• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information


• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up


• Solicit assigned accounts by phone


• Order parts not in stock if (after discussion with the Parts Manager) 


• Notify the customer that ordered parts have been received


• Ensure that all parts are charged out before they leave the department


• Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with customers, both on the phone and in person


• Keep current on new products and product updates

Requirements:

• One year of experience in an automotive parts sales position is required


• High school diploma or the equivalent


• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information


• Professional personal appearance


• Ability to work well with the public
