JOB SUMMARY: The Parts Counter Associate is responsible for assisting all technicians and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. This position is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts, and for seeking out and soliciting parts business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

• Help determine and issue parts for customers and technicians as requested by phone internet or in person.


• Referring to parts manuals (electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.


• Provide customers with price quotes on parts.


• Maintain open communications with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Sales department when parts have arrived and the next step of action, including distributing parts where is needed


• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.


• Confirm all parts are billed correctly.


• Maintain inventory organization, restock shelves, and receive deliveries


• Keep orderly records of all purchase orders, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.


• Other duties as required by management

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent are required


• Valid drivers license with a good driving record is required


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required


• Excellent communication and decision-making skills


• Strong organizational skills are required


• Mechanical knowledge and/or background is preferred


• Strong customer service skills are required


• Proficient computer and phone skills are required
