Automotive Parts Counterperson

Job Summary:

Anderson Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Counter-person to join our team in Cockeysville, Maryland. As the Automotive Parts Counter-person, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients by assisting them with their automotive parts needs. This is a full-time position that offers a base salary plus commission and the opportunity to work with a reputable dealership.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Competitive base salary of $37,500 to $60,000 per year, based on experience

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, either in person or on the phone
- Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct parts for their vehicles
- Use electronic cataloging and ordering systems to accurately locate and order parts
- Keep track of inventory levels and order new parts as needed
- Communicate with technicians and service advisors to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs and services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
- Continuously update knowledge of automotive parts and industry trends
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
- Follow all safety and security procedures in the parts department
- Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in an automotive parts department & or related field preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use electronic cataloging and ordering systems
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office & CDK preferred
- Familiarity with various automotive makes and models
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
