The Reconditioning Technician is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce by inspecting, removing and repairing electronic gas and brake systems, digitally controlled joystick driving systems, and adaptive equipment on vehicles.

What you'll do:

Remove previously installed adaptive equipment from vehicles.

Perform trouble-shooting of adaptive equipment to identify and resolve issues.

Complete all tasks within specified timeframes.

Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.

Follow both written and verbal work instructions.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What you’ll need:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Coursework beyond High School Diploma preferred.

Previous diagnostic experience in the automotive industry.

Strong electrical and/or automotive wiring skills.

Proficiency in working with hydraulic and electrical systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.

Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
