Precision Toyota is the largest and fastest-growing dealership in Southern Arizona. We're seeking a motivated Automotive Reconditioning Technician to prepare pre-owned vehicles for retail sale. This role focuses on reconditioning trade-ins and acquired vehicles to meet our high standards before they reach the sales lot. Responsibilities:

• Perform multi-point inspections on trade-in and acquired vehicles to assess reconditioning needs


• Complete mechanical repairs and maintenance to prepare pre-owned vehicles for retail sale


• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning


• Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround times


• Communicate repair findings and cost estimates to the Used Car Manager or designated supervisor


• Identify safety concerns and ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards before frontline placement


• Perform fluid services, brake work, tire replacement, and other routine maintenance as needed


• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and overall vehicle condition


• Maintain a working knowledge of multiple vehicle makes and models (not limited to Toyota)


• Provide dealership-level of quality, cleanliness, and care on every vehicle

Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models preferred


• Previous automotive technician experience (dealership or independent shop)


• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple vehicles simultaneously


• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to participate in in-house training


• Ability to operate all auto repair tools


• Basic computer skills


• Strong communication skills


• Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance


• Clean driving record
