Automotive Sales Assistant

CAPITAL Ford of Hillsborough is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Sales Assistant to support our busy sales team. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of the sales process, ensuring customers have a smooth, professional experience while helping sales consultants stay organized and focused on closing deals. If you enjoy a mix of customer interaction and behind-the-scenes coordination, this is the role for you.

Sales Assistant Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in the showroom and connect them with the appropriate sales consultant


• Support sales staff by preparing paperwork, organizing deal jackets, and maintaining accurate customer records


• Assist with scheduling test drives and sales appointments


• Answer phone calls and emails, providing information on inventory, promotions, and financing options


• Help track and follow up with potential leads through CRM tools or customer contact lists


• Assist with vehicle deliveries, ensuring customers have a smooth hand off experience and understand their new vehicle features


• Perform other administrative and support tasks as needed to keep the sales process running smoothly

Sales Assistant Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or sales support role preferred


• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail


• Friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills


• Comfortable using phones, computers, and CRM or database systems


• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment


• Basic knowledge of automotive products and dealership operations is a plus


• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
