Automotive Service Advisor

As an Automotive Service Advisor at Buchanan Kia, you will be the key point of contact between our customers and the service department. Your role is to provide outstanding customer service by understanding customers’ vehicle needs, communicating effectively with the service team, and ensuring a smooth and positive service experience. You will help diagnose customer concerns, provide accurate estimates, and keep customers informed throughout the service process.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.


• Listen carefully to customer concerns and document vehicle issues.


• Provide accurate service cost estimates and obtain customer authorization before work begins.


• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and thorough vehicle service.


• Keep customers updated on the progress and completion of their vehicles.


• Process payments and maintain accurate service records.


• Promote additional services and products as appropriate.


• Maintain a clean and organized service reception area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an automotive service advisor or customer service role preferred.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner.


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.


• Basic knowledge of automotive terminology and repair processes is a plus.


• Proficiency with computer systems and software used in service departments.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
