Job Description - Automotive Service Advisor
Job Summary:
The Service Advisor at Richmond Ford West in Glen Allen, Virginia is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all clients who visit our dealership for automotive maintenance and repairs. This individual contributor role will assist customers with their service needs, recommend necessary repairs, and ensure accurate and timely completion of work. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the auto industry, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission, offering a competitive compensation package with potential earnings between $70,000 to over $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds to assess any damages or areas that need attention
- Provide detailed repair estimates and recommendations to customers
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments
- Communicate updates and timelines to customers throughout the service process
- Work closely with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain customer records and update service histories
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the auto industry or in a direct customer service or sales role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of automotive software systems
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
