Automotive Service Cashier

Job Summary:
We are seeking a customer service-oriented individual to join our team at Dixie Buick GMC as an Automotive Service Cashier. In this position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by efficiently and accurately handling all automotive service transactions. This is a full-time, hourly role in the auto industry located in Fort Myers, Florida, and is an individual contributor role.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $33,000 to $38,000 per year, with weekly pay periods paid hourly. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and employee discounts.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and assist them with their service needs
- Accurately process payment transactions for automotive services, including cash, credit cards, and checks
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift
- Answer phone calls and schedule service appointments for customers
- Provide knowledgeable and courteous answers to customer inquiries regarding service costs, wait times, and vehicle maintenance
- Keep track of service and parts orders and generate invoices for customers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash register and customer waiting area
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficient and timely service transactions
- Follow all safety protocols in handling cash and maintaining customer confidentiality

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in handling cash transactions and basic math skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with dealership management systems is a plus
