Job Description - Automotive Service Cashier / Receptionist



We are seeking a Service Cashier / Receptionist to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting our service department. This role includes handling customer payments, answering phones, scheduling service appointments, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.


 


Job Type & Schedule


Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday with some Saturdays as needed
Pay: Competitive hourly wage, based on experience

Key Responsibilities




  • Greet service customers in a professional, friendly manner




  • Process payments for service invoices accurately and efficiently (cash, card, financing, etc.)




  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member




  • Assist with scheduling service appointments and managing the service calendar




  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area




  • Handle light administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry




  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers




  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate information and timely assistance




Qualifications




  • Previous experience in a cashier, receptionist, or customer service role preferred




  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills




  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software




  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment




  • Professional appearance and demeanor



  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license preferred

  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen
