Service Manager — Import Dealership | Owings Mills, MD

Ready for your first Service Manager seat?

We're hiring a Service Manager for a high-volume import franchise dealership in Owings Mills. This is a real step-up opportunity: if you're currently running a service lane, working as an assistant service manager, or you're the advisor everyone already turns to when things go sideways, this is the seat that puts your name on the department.

You won't be dropped in and left alone. Ownership here is fixed-ops literate, the tech team is tenured, and the fixed operations director is committed to developing a manager, not just filling a chair.

What you'll own

• The full service department: advisors, technicians, porters, and the drive
  
• Daily throughput — hours per RO, ELR, and gross retention
  
• Advisor coaching: menu presentation, MPI discipline, declined-service follow-up
  
• CSI and OEM survey performance, plus resolution of escalated customers
  
• Warranty compliance and claim submission accuracy
  
• Scheduling, capacity planning, and loaner/rental fleet management
  
• Hiring, onboarding, and retention of advisors and techs
  
• Working shoulder-to-shoulder with parts and the sales floor on trades and used-car recon
  

Who this is built for

You've been running the lane and you already do half of this job without the title. Specifically:

• 2+ years in a dealership service department in a lead, lane manager, assistant manager, or top-producing advisor role
  
• Franchise experience, ideally import — Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, or similar
  
• You know your way around a DMS (CDK, Reynolds, Tekion) and a scheduling tool like Xtime or myKaarma
  
• You can read a service department financial statement — or you're hungry to learn fast
  
• You coach rather than bark. Advisors follow you because you've done the job, not because of your title
  
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  

What we're not requiring: prior Service Manager experience. If you've been passed over because you haven't held the title yet, this is the store that will give you the shot.
