Automotive Service Technician

CAPITAL of Lexington is currently looking for a dependable and experienced Automotive Line Technician to join our service team. This role requires a technician with advanced mechanical knowledge and diagnostic capability who can confidently perform core line work efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently perform line-level work as specified on repair orders


• Diagnose drivability concerns and complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and special equipment


• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer standards


• Test components and systems, including road tests when necessary


• Collaborate with Service Advisors on diagnostics, repair needs, and estimates


• Maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced shop


• Stay current with training and manufacturer certifications


• 
  Perform additional tasks as assigned
  
  
  

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as an automotive line technician (Level C, B, or A)


• Proficiency across key systems: engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and brakes


• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills


• Team-oriented mindset and a drive to meet performance goals


• Excellent communication and documentation skills


• Comfort using modern diagnostic software and tools


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening
