Automotive Service Technician

BMW of Traverse City is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our state-of-the-art service department. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair some of the most advanced engineering on the road today.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  Diagnostics & Repair: Perform accurate electronic and mechanical diagnostics to identify vehicle issues and execute high-quality repairs.

  Routine Maintenance: Complete standard maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake services, alignments, and fluid flushes, according to BMW factory specifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles to ensure all repairs are completed correctly and the vehicle meets safety and performance standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Documentation: Keep clear, accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings on repair orders.

  
  


• 
  

  Ongoing Education: Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and certification courses to stay current on evolving automotive technology.

  
  

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

• 
  

  Previous experience as an automotive service technician (experience with BMW or European imports is highly valued, but not required).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  
  


• 
  

  Possession of a personal toolset to perform standard automotive repairs.

  
  


• 
  

  ASE certifications are preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
