Responsibilities

  Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards

  
  


• 
  

  Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including:

    Engine

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Transmission

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Electrical systems

    Steering and suspension

• 
  

  Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding vehicle condition and additional service needs

  
  


• 
  

  Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs

  
  


• 
  

  Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean and organized work stall

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure customers’ vehicles are kept clean while in service

  
  

Sign-On Bonus

Technicians with certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) may qualify for a $1,000 – $5,000 sign-on bonus, depending on certification level.

Job Requirements

• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to read and understand written instructions and repair information

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license

  Excellent customer service skills
