What you will do:

The Automotive Technician team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of FPRS’ fleet of vehicles: Mustang GT, Mustang EcoBoost, Mustang Dark Horse, Heritage Mustangs, Focus, Fiesta, and other support vehicles. This team, plays a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. 

  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of FPRS East, its products and its programs
  • Troubleshoot vehicle issues, with an emphasis on the FORD SERVICE NET and FORD IDS/FDRS programs, to identify necessary repairs and procedures
  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs on engines, brakes, suspension, transmissions, clutches, etc.
  • Complete basic to moderate electrical repairs/module programming
  • Perform tire dismounting, mounting, and balancing
  • Perform vehicle alignments 
  • Infrequent, basic fabrication 
  • Track parts used on all work performed
  • Occasionally assist with vehicle prep, parking, and/or staging

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills You Possess:

  • 2–5 years mechanic experience (in fully functional shop)
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Adequate computer literacy 
  • Ability to interact well with fellow employees
  • Demonstrate outstanding service to others 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in the most productive and appropriate manner
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions based on facts
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills in all situations
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission
  • Ability to drive a single-vehicle trailer
  • Graduate of the Ford Asset Program preferred

Expectations:

  • Adhere to an event-driven work schedule—primarily Mon-Fri with some evenings, weekends, and holidays required
  • Show respect for others
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Pass background and drug screening
  • Maintain current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

Physical Demands:

  • Working long periods on feet 
  • Working increased hours when required by business demand
  • Ability to lift up to 75+  pounds unassisted 
  • Moderate to high levels of stress may be associated with this position

Language Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate in English
