Automotive Technician

Our franchise is rapidly expanding in the Houston area with new locations currently opening.  We are searching for an Automotive Technician in Northwest Houston. We are looking for that team player technician that is willing to grow within the organization.

Compensation: 

• $25 - $50 / hour

Experience:

Immediate opening for a First-Class Automotive Technician in a Nationwide Automotive Repair Franchise. We are an upscale fully equipped shop looking to hire an Automotive Technician. Must have experience in heavy line, timing belt/chain, transmission, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning with an ability to do electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities will include:

• Answer questions regarding Diagnosis & Repairs.


• Assist mechanics with their work as needed.


• Service & Diagnose difficult and problem vehicles.


• Help educate the other mechanics to raise their level of skill.


• Test drive vehicles with and w/o customers to evaluate their complaints.


• Make sure all work is done correctly and on time.


• Do whatever is needed to ensure quality & prompt customer service.


• Order parts on approved repairs from suppliers when necessary.


• Help maintain shop cleanliness.


• Help maintain a safe working environment.


• Must keep a clean personal appearance.


• Continue to develop new skills & knowledge.


• Help with interviewing of new Technicians.


• Make sure all vehicles leave the shop free of dirty hand and foot prints.

We want to ensure the vehicle is properly repaired the first time, customer satisfaction & loyalty depends on this.

Your mechanical duties may include the following: oil changes, transmission services, tire rotations, tune-ups, valve adjustments, battery replacement, alternator replacement, A/C Servicing, cooling system servicing, wiper blade replacement, brake repair, electrical repair, computer diagnosis, gasket & seal replacement,etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Required experience:

• L1 or Multiple Certifications: 5 years


• European exposure preferred


• Diesel exposure preferred

Required licenses or certifications:

• Driver's License


• ASE Certification
