Automotive Technician

Job Summary:

Colonial Chevrolet of Acton is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive drivability / transmission Technician to join our team. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary of $40 to $50 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, our employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

$5000.00 sign on bonus

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs needed and provide status updates
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in the shop
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training and development

Requirements:

Ability to diagnose and repair drivability issues as well transmission issues

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ASE certification preferred
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
