Automotive Technician – Kia of Lincoln

Kia of Lincoln is growing and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team! You’ll start at our current location and move with us to our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility on the south side of town in 2026. If you’re passionate about quality work, teamwork, and delivering top-notch customer service, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

  Diagnose and repair automotive issues efficiently and accurately across various Kia models and other makes.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and alignments.

  
  


• 
  

  Use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools safely and effectively.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with service advisors to ensure clear, accurate communication with customers.

  
  


• 
  

  Stay up to date on the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and repair software.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  
  


• 
  

  ASE Certification is a plus (we’ll help you work toward certification if you’re not there yet!).

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
Experience: 1+ year in automotive service (preferred)
Location: Lincoln, NE (must be able to commute or relocate)
