A Comfortable Shop, Built In Tool Boxes, and a Team That Wants to Train You Up.
Twin Falls Subaru is hiring an automotive technician, maybe two, and we're going to be straight with you about why techs like working here. Our shop is temperature-controlled, so you're not freezing in January or sweating through your shirt in July. Every bay has built-in tool boxes, so you don't have to sink thousands into a rolling box or haul your whole setup in. And if you want to earn certifications, we'll help you get there.
Whether you're a seasoned line tech or someone earlier in the trade who's hungry to learn, keep reading.
What You'd Actually Be Doing
It depends on your experience, but a typical day is some mix of this:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on Subarus and the occasional trade-in, from oil changes and tire rotations up to brakes, suspension, diagnostics, and bigger jobs
- Running diagnostics and following Subaru's factory repair procedures to figure out what's actually going on
- Doing honest multi-point inspections and telling the service advisor exactly what a car needs, and what it doesn't
- Keeping clean notes on your work so warranty and the advisors have what they need
- Working with the parts counter and service advisors to keep jobs moving
- Keeping your bay and your built-in boxes organized and ready
You'll work alongside our service advisors, parts team, and service manager. The more you prove out, the more complex and better-paying work we'll hand you.
The Shop
This is the part we're proud of, so we'll say it plainly:
- Temperature-controlled, year-round. Heated in the winter, cooled in the summer. Your hands and your back will notice the difference.
- Built-in tool boxes at the bays. We provide the tool storage. That's thousands of dollars you don't have to spend, and one less thing to lug around.
- The tools and info to do it right. You'll have the diagnostic equipment and Subaru service information to fix it correctly the first time.
- A team that helps each other. Small-shop feel, steady work, no drama in the bays.
The Pay
Pay is based on your experience and the certifications you bring or earn. Here's how we think about it:
- If you're already experienced or certified, you'll be paid for it from day one.
- If you're earlier in your career, we'll start you fair and grow your pay as you build skills and knock out certifications.
- We support your training. Want to work toward Subaru certifications or ASE? We'll help you get there, and your pay grows as you do.
Bottom line: the more you can do, and the more you're willing to learn, the more you'll make.
About Certifications
ASE certification is a big bonus, and we'd love to see it, but it is not required to apply. What matters just as much is that you're willing to learn and train. We invest in techs who want to get better, and we'll help you work toward Subaru and ASE certifications over time.
