Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Charlie's Dodge, one of the area’s largest automotive dealers, has an immediate opening for a Service Technician. This Role would include mounting and balancing tires, performing alignments, oil changes, performing recalls and light duty repairs on vehicles. The Service Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership 


• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs


• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers


• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.


• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASE Certification a plus


• Candidate would need to be proficient at installing tires and performing alignments using Hunter equipment


• Experience with all makes and models a plus


• Strong automotive background


• Strong teamwork skills


• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check


• Must have clean & valid driver's license
