Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Yeargan’s Top Notch Automotive, an ASE Blue Seal Certified shop in Carrboro, NC, is hiring high-performing ASE Certified Technicians who can accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of domestic and foreign vehicles. Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) on every vehicle.


• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using advanced diagnostic tools and procedures.


• Perform quality repairs on engines, brakes, steering/suspension, HVAC systems, and drivetrains.


• Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid checks, tire services, and inspections.


• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors and document recommendations in shop management software (Tekmetric).


• Stay current with training and certifications.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.


• Follow established policies and processes with high standards.


• Prioritize punctuality.


• Contribute positively to team culture and uphold our high standards of service and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Minimum of four current ASE Certifications (A1–A8 preferred; L1 or L3 a plus) or must be willing and able to complete at least four in the first 90-days.


• Current NC State Inspection License.


• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive repair experience.


• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and technical service resources.


• Strong attention to detail, process adherence, and time management skills.


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment.


• Team-first mindset with excellent communication skills.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
