Job Description

Freeway Ford is looking for a Used Car Technician to join our growing service team. This position primarily focuses on vehicles purchased into dealership inventory, fleet vehicles, and pre-owned units. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, as well as the ability to efficiently prepare vehicles for retail delivery while ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on used and dealership vehicles.

  Identify issues accurately and communicate findings to the Service Advisor or Used Car Manager

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct multi-point inspections and complete reconditioning efficiently

  
  


• 
  

  Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics using modern tools and software

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain repair order documentation in line with dealership and manufacturer standards

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all repairs are completed with a focus on safety, accuracy, and quality workmanship

  
  


• 
  

  Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation and repair completion

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  
  


• 
  

  Adhere to all union safety and work policies

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  2+ years of professional automotive technician experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills highly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Previous Ford or dealership experience is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with fleet and reconditioning processes preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient with diagnostic equipment and repair software

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and time management

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  
  


• 
  

  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
