🚗 Remote Assistance Operator – Autonomous Vehicles

Location: Austin, TX 
Pay: $24–$28 per hour
Schedule: Full-time rotating shifts including weekends
 

🔍 What You’ll Do:

As a Remote Assistance Operator, you’ll help monitor and guide self-driving cars from a control center. Your job is to watch live video feeds and step in if the vehicle needs help or makes a mistake.

Day-to-day tasks include:

• Watching a self-driving car using remote tools and multiple camera views

• Taking action if the vehicle needs help (like a remote operator in a video game)

• Keeping accurate logs of anything unusual (in tools like Notion or Google Sheets)

• Reviewing trips afterward to catch problems

• Reporting any strange events or patterns

• Sharing info with the next shift operator

✅ What You Need:

Required:

• Experience in technical support, dispatch, or operations (like IT or transportation)

• Good decision-making skills under pressure

• Very detail-oriented and good at documentation

• Willingness to learn about self-driving car tech

Nice to have:

• Experience using map tools or vehicle command systems

• Familiarity with how self-driving systems “see” and “plan” movements

• Experience analyzing logs or vehicle data

• Prior experience in remote operations or with companies like Tesla, Cruise, etc.

• Background in video gaming (fast thinking and decision-making)

🕒 Work Hours & Environment:

• You’ll be working in person at the Remote Operations Center in Austin

• Must be open to rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends

• Flexibility is important
