Responsibilities of this role include:
Responsible for the tasks in the contract and full authority to act on behalf of ITS on all contract matters and daily operations in the absence of the Site Lead
Programming and configuration of A/V equipment (Crestron DM switchers, control systems, touch panels and Biamp DSPs) experience required
Develop schedules for event support, ensuring a running two-week plan is in place for all technicians to support COR-provided events in the absence of the Site Lead
Provide live event production technical support; must be able to operate, troubleshoot, configure, and program equipment to facilitate multimedia events
Must be able to coordinate supporting two simultaneous events, with a skilled technician at each event location. In some instances, deploy a technician to support GS staff to provide flawless AV and VTC experience to end users in the absence of the Site Lead
Must have experience with the operation of laptop/desktop computers, computer/video projection equipment, video switchers, video routers, computer display interfacing equipment, wireless microphones, wired microphones, audio amplifiers, audio loudspeakers, audio monitors, audio mixing consoles, video cameras, video camera controllers, portable PA systems, portable projection screens, analog and digital recorders/players, digital video streaming equipment, character generators, lighting instruments, lighting mixing consoles, stage rigging, counterweight batons, electrics, curtain systems, intercoms, and Crestron touch screens
Must be able to orchestrate event participants' desired microphone, camera, lighting, and projection effects in precise sequences as directed by cues in written manuscripts, oral and visual cues from actions within the productions, and under the direction of an event producer
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose problems with AV/VTC equipment, wiring, cabling, and terminations in ArmyU auditoriums and conference rooms. Troubleshooting shall be performed in the event of technical difficulties during live event production support and as discovered during routine preventive maintenance
Perform Routine Preventative Maintenance on live production venue equipment, includes bulb replacement, wiring, cabling, terminations and cleaning of metal contacts in all equipment. Prepare and submit a monthly maintenance summary report adhering to COR requirements in the absence of the Site Lead
Coordinate troubleshooting activities with 3rd party vendors and internal personnel as needed
Assesses performance both formally and informally
Provides mentoring, coaching and discipline when necessary
Provides input regarding compensation
Approves time off requests and time keeping records
Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:
A High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Two (2) years’ experience with hands on programming and configuring Crestron Switchers, control systems, touch panels, and Biamp Digital Signal Processors.
Additional qualifications include:
CTS certification preferred
Biamp certification preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
