Job Description - A/V Project Engineer

Must Haves:Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (zoom, Microsoft Teams, Hosted cloud solutions, Cisco and Poly/HP etc.) both hardware and software6+ years in project managementMinimum two years of AV experienceValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record (clean)Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
Pluses:AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) CTS-DFormal Education in Electronics or related field preferred
Day-to-Day:As a Project Engineer, you will design, specify and manage the installation of integrated systems. You will be responsible for the technical oversight of a project from award through installation and completion. You will also identify special requirements for the projects, including but not limited to: test equipment, specialized tools, and rigging support. In addition, you will provide technical oversight on commissioning of systems both in-house and on-site.
Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completenessDevelop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan, elevation) drawingsReview labor estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirementsReview technical or logistical impediments to delivering scope of workTest audio DSP or video processing systems software required for system functionality- in shop and in field along with Field EngineerDeliver weekly project updates for Project ManagerAssist the Project Manager in monitoring project budget and securing the necessary personnel for installationProvide engineering and DPS system programming support to project installation team when neededSupport Project Manager in project hand-off to the installation team when neededProvide Project Manager documented test results from system testing and commissioningReview field and shop red-line drawings, revise shop drawings to “as-built” status for submission to CAD/drafting staffCommunicate and engage with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely mannerAbility to travel to various job sites required
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
