AV Technician

About This Opportunity

CTI Staffing is partnering with a growing organization in the Kansas City area to bring on two AV Technicians for a hands-on install and setup engagement.

This is field install work — running cable, mounting displays, and setting up rooms so the spaces are ready to use. If you're someone who works clean, follows a plan, and takes pride in a setup that actually works when it's handed off, this is built for you.

What You'll Do

• Run, route, and terminate audio/video and network cabling
  


• Mount and install displays, projectors, screens, speakers, and mounts
  


• Rack, connect, and configure AV equipment per provided install plans
  


• Set up rooms with microphones, speakers, monitors, video-conferencing gear, and control panels
  


• Perform basic troubleshooting of signal-flow, audio, and video issues under direction
  


• Keep work areas clean and organized; test and confirm setups before handoff
  

Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• Prior hands-on AV install/setup experience (Tech I / installer level)
  


• Comfortable with cabling, mounting, and equipment setup
  


• Understanding of basic AV signal flow and common connector/cable types
  


• Able to follow install plans and directions and work as part of a crew
  


• Reliable, punctual, and professional on a client site
  


• Physically able to handle install work — lifting, ladders, extended time on feet, long days
  

Nice-to-Have:

• AVIXA CTS or manufacturer certifications (Extron, Crestron install, etc.)
  


• Experience with corporate, event, or conference-room AV environments
  


• Familiarity with video-conferencing platforms and digital signage
  


• Low-voltage or structured-cabling background
  


• Own basic hand tools
  

Technical Environment:

• Displays, projectors, screens, speakers, mounts, AV racks
  


• Video-conferencing systems, control panels, microphones

• Clean, professional execution on a client site
