Summary:

We are seeking an advanced TMC Tech III to work in a control room environment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic through monitoring and management of roadways. This role involves handling traffic incidents by utilizing Intelligent Transportation Systems devices, with a focus on evening shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor roadways using traffic surveillance cameras and detection systems.


• Manage traffic and incidents using computer-based traffic management systems.


• Operate traffic devices and computer equipment associated with traffic management systems.


• Coordinate with multiple agencies to address incidents affecting regional travel.


• Maintain advanced knowledge of traffic equipment, computers, and software.


• Identify complex issues and escalate to supervisors as needed.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must reside within 30 miles of Knoxville.


• Advanced customer service skills with 7-9 years of experience.


• Proficient in data entry, typing, and email correspondence (4-6 years).


• Operational knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.


• Experience in dispatch or call center (highly preferred).


• Strong verbal communication skills with advanced experience (7-9 years).


• Experience contributing within a team environment.


• Basic computer knowledge.
