Job Description - Avionics Senior Technician

Avionics Senior Technician

Pay:$24–$28/hr
Location:North of Tulsa Area
Shift:Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Type:Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Senior Technician to join our aerospace team. The Avionics Senior Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated avionics systems to ensure aircraft safety and operational excellence. This is a full-time position offering stable hours and growth potential in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics Technology, or equivalent experience (e.g., FAA A&P license, 10+ years hands-on experience)
  • 5+ years of avionics or electrical/electronics engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred)
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, wiring, and power distribution
  • Skilled with diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Flexibility for overtime, evenings, or weekend shifts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and modifications on avionics systems including navigation, communication, and flight control
  • Troubleshoot and test electrical/electronic components to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with engineers and follow FAA/EASA regulatory guidelines
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance procedures
  • Mentor junior staff and promote safety and best practices as an Avionics Senior Technician
  • Document all work according to company and regulatory standards

Preferred Education

  • Certifications in soldering, wiring, or fiber optics
  • Military or commercial aviation background
