Awards & Hospitality Associate

Description

 This position will primarily focus on supporting both the Horse Show Awards & Presentation department and Hospitality department while promoting guests’ overall experiences.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Awards & Presentations

• Assist competitors with checking their show results on regular classes, division championships, prizes, etc.
• Execute award presentations for special classes/events during the horse show.
• Maintain adequate stock level of ribbons and prizes in show office/show rings and help keep inventories.
• Aid in the coordination of horse show hospitality events.
• Assist guests/regular public with directions or general information.

Hospitality

• Complete deliveries of judge’s cards to the Horse Show Secretary.
• Packaging and delivery of official’s lunches.
• Keeping inventory and completing orders for snacks and drinks for Show Officials.
• Support/assist the Horse Show Office during any down time.
• Completion of miscellaneous errands that are needed for officials or the Horse Show Office.

• Position requires a detail, quality oriented, and organized person. 
• Must be able to work independently and in team settings. 
• Reliability and punctuality is a must. 
• Ability to provide stellar customer service. 
• Ability to work well with other staff, vendors, sponsors, guests, and partners in a collaborative and professional environment.

Description of Work Environment:

• This position will require the individual to work in a variety of locations, indoor and outdoor, and in a variety of weather conditions.
