General Notes
This is a 100% remote position; candidates seeking to work from outside of Texas are reviewed case by case. Not all locations are eligible.
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the operations of the Dell Medical School Office of Research by providing Dell Medical School faculty members with comprehensive post-award assistance.

Responsibilities
Perform Post-Award

functions for DMS faculty and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, working with faculty members to provide guidance to ensure

appropriate day-to-day

management of their sponsored projects accounts, approving financial transactions,

etc.

This also includes liaising with OSP SPAA on behalf of Dell Medical School faculty and staff

. This position may support Federal, State, Local, Foundation, and/or Industry sponsored projects.

Maintain and update post-award information in the Dell Medical School database/electronic research administration system(s).

Provide

assistance/information

as needed for the Dell Medical School Office of Research pre-award team, Contracts team, and/or Director.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in the preparation, processing, and negotiation of research grant and contract proposals or relevant experience.

Demonstrated ability to work both as a team member and independently without continuous supervision. Demonstrated ability to work with overlapping projects and with sensitive and confidential information. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, and to work skillfully in a deadline driven, customer-service oriented office. Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Professional.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with UT Austin financial systems and/or Huron Research Suite software.

Previous experience with post-award grants accounting or sponsored projects

administration.

Salary Range
$49,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

Occasional weekend,

overtime

and evening work to meet deadlines.
